BOOKING YOUR HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The Conference will be held in the Cité Internationale.  It is located approximately 30 minutes from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) and approximately 20 minutes from the city center.

This year we are not offering one central hotel for all delegates.  However, we are recommending reaching out to the following hotels to inquire about availability.  We recommend you book a room as soon as possible, because the blocks will fill quickly, and the city is quite busy at this time of year.

At this time, all of our pre-arranged Conference room blocks have closed.

TRAVEL

Airport: Book your international flight into Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS).

Ground Transportation: The most convenient way from the airport or train station to your hotel is by Uber or taxi.

You can also take the Rhônexpress Tram. This direct tram service connects the airport to Lyon Part Dieu, a major transportation hub in the city. Book your tickets in advance on the Rhônexpress website to save time and avoid additional fees. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets at the airport from the red vending machines, although a small surcharge will apply.

Please click here for parking instructions if you plan to drive.

Getting Around Lyon: To help you navigate the city, we recommend using the public transportation network, which includes metro lines, trams, and buses. The Transports Communs Lyonnais (TCL) system provides an efficient way to get around town. Bus lines C1, C5, and C4 stop at Cité Internationale. Please note that TCL agents regularly conduct checks, so be sure to have a valid ticket for your journey.

Passport & Visa Requirements: France is party to the Schengen Agreement. Visitors from the Schengen countries do not need to show a passport or visa when entering France. You may still be asked to identify yourself at some point during your trip, so it is highly recommended to carry a valid passport or national ID card with you.  Citizens of some countries outside the EU/EEA must apply for a visitor's visa. You can easily check if this is required for you, and what rules apply to your country here
